Know-Rx is a panel of tests that SLOCUM-RADSON Medical Laboratories utilizes to more efficiently and effectively detect substances necessary to monitor patients on prescribed therapies. Physicians use Know-Rx to verify compliance, evaluate progress, and identify potential drug misuse or addiction quickly.
Our Process is as simple as 1-2-3
- Sample collection kits ensure your office has everything you need to work with your patients
- Upon receipt of the sample, Know-Rx uses an immunoassay screen to determine the presence of drugs featured in a dozen general drug classes, including alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, carisoprodol, cocaine, ecstasy (MDMA), fentanyl, marijuana (THC), methadone, opiates, oxycodone/oxymorphone, phencyclidine (PCP), propoxyphene, tricyclic antidepressants (TCA), and tramadol
- A confirmation test is performed on all positive and inconsistent negative screening results, providing unambiguous identification and quantitation of all substances present in the specimen and verification if prescribed medications are not present.
Turnaround time can be as little as 48-72 hours, including quantitative confirmation on positives and verification on inconsistent negative samples.
